From Materials to Professional Guidelines for Usage
Towels are essential items in daily life. The material of the towel directly determines the usage experience and hygiene safety. Using them correctly can extend their lifespan and protect skin health. Currently, the mainstream towel materials on the market are mainly divided into three categories, each with its own advantages, and are suitable for different scenarios.
Pure cotton towels are the most common type. They are made of natural cotton fibers, featuring softness and skin-friendliness, strong water absorption, a gentle touch without irritation, and are suitable for the elderly, children, and people with sensitive skin. They are mostly used for cleansing and wiping the face. Bamboo fiber towels are made from bamboo pulp fibers and have inherent natural antibacterial and antifungal properties. They are breathable, dry, and do not easily breed bacteria or odors. They have better quick-drying performance than pure cotton and are suitable for use in summer or for people who sweat easily. Ultra-fine fiber towels are made of a blend of polyester and nylon, with fine fibers that absorb water quickly, are durable without shedding fibers, and do not pill, and are mostly used for wiping hands, tables, or drying hair.
When using towels, please follow these guidelines: First, use each towel exclusively for one person, and keep separate towels for different purposes to avoid cross-use and prevent the spread of bacteria; facial cleansing, bathing and hand-wiping towels should be kept separate to prevent the proliferation of bacteria. Second, clean them promptly after use and hang them in a well-ventilated and sunny place to dry, to avoid mold growth due to dampness and poor ventilation. Third, disinfect regularly, for example, by boiling them in water for 5-10 minutes once a week, or by washing them with a mild disinfectant. Fourth, replace them in time. After using the towels for 2-3 months, the fibers will age and harden, and bacteria will grow. Replace them promptly to avoid using yellowed, sticky or smelly towels. Pay attention to these details to safeguard the health of your family.
